Please update with information on how to set the default gateway and DNS settings. I’m finding that many static IP articles are lacking this information or that are missing steps to make the settings persist after rebooting!

1 issue with S11.11.11
Create the repo 1st using the

pkgrepo create /where-ever/you-want

then follow this guide

That way you can update the repo

pkgrecv -s http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release/ -d /where-ever/you-want ‘*’
had to cp the repo twice

Also, if your using the sol repo dvd’s, cat them 1st and the mount
